sweet potato pie juice recipe

This Sweet Potato Pie Juice Recipe is something that you cannot miss!

Sweet potatoes are delicious to eat, but did you know that they also make a wonderful juice?

And, did you also know that they are safe to be consumed raw?

Unlike white potatoes, sweet potatoes do not contain solanine and chaconine – two enzymes that can be harmful to our body. Thus, they’re not toxic when consumed raw.

They’re an excellent source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, which can support healthy vision, enhance brain function, boost immunity, promotes gut health, and helps fight against cancer. These make them a wonderful juice.

Along with some citrus fruits that offer a multitude of benefits to our mind and body, this mixture can help boost our energy levels to get through the rest of the day.

However, since raw sweet potatoes are hard to cut, this recipe might not work well in a blender, unless of course, it’s a high-powered one.

But, other than that, if you have access to juicers, or maybe you can scroll at the bottom of this page to check out the best juicers out there, this recipe offers many nutritional benefits, along with a deliciously refreshing taste.

Sweet Potato Pie Juice

I can't help but hum "Song, song of the south, Sweet potato pie and I shut my mouth" when I think of this juice. I doubt that the group Alabama was thinking about juice when they first sang about sweet potato pie, but the thought that might have been makes me smile. Either way, I think you'll hum too after trying this drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato
  • 2 apples
  • 1 orange
  • 1 carrot
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 2 inches turmeric

Instructions

  • Wash all ingredients well.
  • Peel the orange, sweet potato, and carrot.
  • Place the prepped ingredients in juicer until all juice has been extracted.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe calls for a juicer. Since sweet potatoes are hard to cut, they might not work well with a regular blender. But, if you have access to a high-powered one, all you’ve got to do is place the prepped ingredients in the blender and blend. Depending on the strength of your blender, you may need to chop your ingredients into smaller pieces and add them piecemeal. You will probably want to strain the blend before drinking it to make the texture more pleasant. Here is a video showing you how to strain the blend. You will need a strainer like this one and a mesh bag like this one.
